Robert Forster:
Robert Forster is a singer-songwriter and co-founder of the influential indie rock band The Go-Betweens. Robert gained acclaim for his literate lyrics and distinctive melodic style. After The Go-Betweens’ initial split in 1989, Forster pursued a critically lauded solo career. He reunited with Go-Betweens co-founder Grant McLennan in the early 2000s before McLennan’s passing in 2006. Robert continues to release solo work along with writing music journalism. He has won the Pascall Prize for Critical Writing for his columns. In 2001, The Go-Betweens’ song ‘Cattle and Cane’ was chosen by APRA as one of the Top 30 Australian songs of all time.
Mick Harvey:
Mick Harvey is a musician, songwriter, and producer best known for his work with Nick Cave in The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Harvey has been a key figure in shaping the dark, cinematic sound of post-punk and alternative rock. Harvey is also renowned for his solo work, including English-language translations of Serge Gainsbourg’s songs. In addition to his performing career, he has produced and collaborated with numerous artists, earning a reputation as one of Australia’s most versatile and respected musicians.
Dave Graney:
Dave Graney is a rock musician, singer-songwriter, and author. Since the late 1970s, he has collaborated with drummer and multi-instrumentalist Clare Moore, forming several bands including The Moodists and Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes. Graney is distinguished by his flamboyant stage persona and genre-defying music, with notable albums including You Wanna Be There But You Don’t Wanna Travel which reached number 10 on the ARIA charts. In 1996, he was awarded the ARIA for Best Male Artist, and he has also authored two memoirs: 1001 Australian Nights (2011) and Workshy: My Life as a Bludge (2017).
Rob Snarski:
Rob Snarski is a singer-songwriter known for his rich, expressive voice and evocative storytelling. He began his musical journey in the 1980s with the band Chad’s Tree, formed alongside his brother Mark. Snarski later gained prominence as the frontman of The Blackeyed Susans, famed for their blend of rock and folk. His solo career includes critically acclaimed records like Wounded Bird (2014) and Searching For The Heart Of It All (2022), the later of which showcased collaborations with various Australian artists.
Stefanie Duzel:
Stefanie Duzel is a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter respected for her blend of Americana, country, and folk-rock – infused with a pop sensibility. Her debut album, The Other Side, released in March 2023, was produced by Lachlan Bryan and Damian Cafarella and received recognition on the International Americana Music Show’s Best of 2023. Before fully committing to her music career, Duzel managed The Macedon Railway Hotel, a live music venue that faced challenges during the pandemic and was ultimately destroyed by a fire in 2021. This pivotal event led her to focus on her music, resulting in performances across Australia and the release of singles like “Ain’t Gon Be Me” in 2024.
