What is a presale?

Presales give fans the opportunity to access tickets before they go on sale to the general public. The timing varies from tour to tour.

Not every tour has a presale, but we’ll let you know when one is available.

How do I get presale access?

When a tour is announced, the tour page on our website will have a sign-up box for the presale.
Enter your details and we’ll send you an email with your presale access link ahead of time.

Who can sign up to the presale list?

Anyone who wants early access to tickets can sign up.

I’m already signed up to the mailing list. Do I need to sign up for the presale?

Yes. Our mailing list and presale lists are separate, so signing up to one doesn’t automatically sign you up to the other.

We only send presale information to people who have specifically asked for it.

When will I receive my presale access link?

We send presale access links as early as we can. Depending on the tour, this may be the day before the presale or sometimes only an hour or so beforehand.

How do presale links work?

Your presale email will contain a link for the relevant city or venue.

Simply click the link and you’ll be taken directly to the appropriate ticketing page. You don’t need a presale code.

The link is preloaded with the required access details, so there’s nothing else you need to enter to access the presale.

Do I need a Metropolis Touring account?

No. Your Metropolis presale registration is separate from any account you may need to create with the ticketing agency.

The ticketing agency may ask you to create an account or log in when you purchase tickets. This is part of their secure payment and ticketing process.

What if I don’t receive my presale email?

There can be a few reasons why an email hasn’t arrived. The most common are an incorrectly entered email address or email filters sending it somewhere unexpected. We also take spam very seriously, so your inbox may be doing its job a little too enthusiastically.

If the presale is about to start and you haven’t received your link, first check your spam, junk, promotions and other inbox folders.

If it’s still nowhere to be found, email us with the tour, date and city you’re looking for and we’ll do our best to help.

Are all tickets available in the presale?

Where possible, yes.

We don’t use a tiered system where the presale gets one allocation and other tickets are held back for later. The tickets made available through the presale are available to everyone who gets in during that presale.

So, in simple terms: first in, best dressed.

Can I share my presale link?

Yes.

If sharing your link means you get to sit together, or someone else buys your ticket for you, that’s fine with us.

What if I miss the presale?

Don’t panic.

If you miss the presale, tickets will still be available through the general public sale, subject to availability.

Presale tickets aren’t a separate type of ticket, so missing the presale doesn’t mean you can’t buy tickets later.

Are there other presales?

Sometimes.

Some shows may have additional presales offered through the artist, venue, sponsor or another legitimate partner.

You’re welcome to use any legitimate presale avenue, or purchase during the general public sale.

The important thing is getting you through the doors and into the room when the music happens.

What if I have a problem buying tickets?

Take a screenshot of the issue and email it to [email protected].

Please include:

  • Your name
  • The city or venue you’re trying to purchase for
  • A brief description of the problem
  • Screenshots showing the issue

We’ll investigate and get back to you as soon as we can.

Will ticket prices change?

We don’t use dynamic ticket pricing.

We don’t discount tickets.

Our view is simple, if you buy early you shouldn’t find tickets for the same show being sold by us for less later.

What happens if a show is cancelled?

If a show or tour is cancelled, your ticket will be refunded through the ticketing agency you purchased from.

The ticketing agency will contact you directly with details of the refund process.

We only announce shows once there is a firm commitment to proceed, but occasionally circumstances outside our control may result in a cancellation.

What if I can’t attend?

If a show is going ahead as planned, refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of your purchase and the ticketing agency’s terms and conditions.

Your first point of contact should always be the ticketing agency you purchased from, or the business name appearing on your financial statement. They can advise you on the specific terms applying to your transaction.

Can I resell my ticket?

If you can’t make the show, you’re welcome to transfer or resell your ticket where the original ticketing agency’s rules allow it.

We don’t operate the resale process, so any resale or transfer must comply with the terms of your original ticket purchase.

We recommend using reputable resale platforms with strong anti-scam protections. Platforms such as Tixel may be an option, provided your original ticket purchase allows resale and you follow the applicable conditions.
